The United States Embassy Youth Council (USYC) is a professional engagement initiative of the U.S. Embassy’s Public Affairs Section. It is designed to empower young leaders by fostering civic and community involvement through a range of training programs, service projects, and networking events. Through the USYC, the United States is committed to supporting youth leadership in Nepal, expanding opportunities at home and strengthening long-term stability. A stronger, more prosperous Nepal means greater economic opportunities for its people and shared growth for both our nations. When young Nepali leaders succeed, Nepal thrives—and our partnership grows even stronger.
USYC members participate in community engagement initiatives, leadership forums, and professional development programs, encouraging them to become more active and informed members of our community. As a member of the youth council, one will gain access to a growing network of young professionals and innovators working to drive civic engagement, digital innovation, and economic progress in Nepal.
To support the effective management of USYC, Youth Innovation Lab—a nonprofit civic-tech organization—serves as the program’s implementation partner.
